PRELIM : TASK SET

Within my team, there was a task which was to create a piece of filming, around 30-40 seconds long that included certain types of shots; these shots included a ‘Match on action’ ‘shot, reverse shot’s’ ‘180 degree rule’ as well as a shot of a person going through a door, then crossing the room and then eventually sitting down – there must be conversation between the two people within the shot.
  • A face-to face conversation between two characters.
  • A character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue.
  • This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule.
  • Final edit should be 30 Seconds in length.

THE DIGITAL WORKFLOW

•Capture the video (transfer it to the computer).
•Trim any unwanted footage from the video clips.

   •Place transitions between your clips.
•Create and add text and credits.
